Chloe Vevrier was born in East Germany, a nation once under the control of the Soviet Union.
“I was involved in athletics like many other girls—sprinting, ice skating, and gymnastics. Growing up in a socialist country was tough. We were very naive about life, and especially about sex, knowing very little.”
Chloe split her time between East Berlin and Prague, spending nine months each year in Germany and three months in Czechoslovakia with her grandparents. This routine continued until she was 16, after her parents divorced.
When the Berlin Wall fell on November 9, 1989, it opened up new opportunities for Germans to shape their futures. A few years later, Chloe was embracing freedom, posing nude and carefree under the warm Bahamian sun.
