Sierra’s entry into the adult film industry started on shaky ground—literally. “I answered an ad in the newspaper looking for girls,” she recalls, acknowledging that her first experience in front of the camera was far from glamorous. “It was the cheesiest and cheapest video,” she admitted. Nervous and unsure, Sierra turned to alcohol to get through the shoot. “I was so very nervous and it was hard. I was very camera shy at the time. Once I started drinking, I was okay, but before that, I was too nervous to do a thing.”
Her concerns were many: “I couldn’t even look at the camera. I was afraid people were going to see me and hear my voice. What if I sound terrible? What if I make these stupid faces?” But after pushing through that first experience, things got easier for her, and she quickly found herself more comfortable in front of the lens. “After I did the first video, it became easier, and I felt I could do it for a living.”
Sierra grew into her role, learning to block out the camera and people around her, focusing solely on the sexual connection with her co-stars. “What I usually do most of the time is imagine I’m with some cute guy or girl, and then it makes it really, really easy,” she explains. Over time, she even began to enjoy the exhibitionist aspect of the job. “Actually, more than anything, I’ve learned to like having people around. Having people watch while I’m having sex. It’s kind of cool.”
Her ability to immerse herself fully in the moment became one of her trademarks. “When I come out of that whole euphoria, people are looking at me in a stupor, like, ‘Oh my god! I can’t believe what you just did! How did you take that whole dick up your ass like that!'”
Sierra’s confidence grew as she found her rhythm in the industry. Her passion for performance, combined with her natural ability to forget the crowd and focus on her own pleasure, made her stand out as a porn star. For Sierra, the key to her success was simple: “The only way I can do it is by really getting into it.”
